About EAS

Atherosclerosis and related diseases are a major health concern worldwide. The European Atherosclerosis Society's goal is to provide a framework for concerted scientific and clinical discussion of new developments in basic research, diagnosis and therapy of atherosclerosis. Our mission - to advance understanding, prevention and treatment of atherosclerotic disease.

EAS publishes Guidelines and Consensus Position Papers. The Society organizes an annual Congress for approximately 2000 delegates, and runs a programme of Advanced Courses for both basic scientists and clinicians. Its official journal is Atherosclerosis.

EAS Academy is the Society's new eLearning portal which offers a broad range of scientific and educational material in the field of atherosclerotic disease. The EAS website, www.eas-society.org, contains details of activities involving the Society and its members, and regular Featured Scientific Commentaries on topical issues.
